Dear Friends,
Through your donations and the generous giving of time and energy by the Board ofDirectors and other volunteers, Lake View Cemetery is thriving. It is spring: the trees and shrubs are flowering, and the grass is growing fast! Our faithful volunteers have begun their season of grass-cutting and tree-trimming, while our dedicated Board of Directors continue with the nitty-gritty details of the Cemetery operations.
PLUS, we have taken the first steps in very important, long-term project: the restoration of the large mausoleum! The Mausoleum’s roof is in dire condition after decades of neglect. Water has impaired the structural integrity of the building and has damaged several vaults and the marble veneer interior. We have engaged historic preservation specialists, Bell & SpinaArchitects, of Syracuse and Taitem Engineering of Ithaca. We will stay in touch with you as the plans progress.
To continue this good work, we need your help—especially your financial help.
Our day-to-day operations of maintaining the beauty the Cemetery grounds and serving those who choose to enshrine their departed loved ones at Lake View, will keep going. We strive to provide the highest level of care to our lot holders and community.
Wishing you a happy spring and summer!
Thank you,
Neil H. Golder, President, Lake View Cemetery
